Brown-bodied salt glazed stoneware hollow vessel with partial maker’s mark. Stamped mark “..ODY” stood for Alfred L. Moody (1860 to 1924), a Randolph County potter who likely started producing pottery in the late-nineteenth century (Zug 1986:442).
