Description:
Olive oil bottle seal molded with an eagle with outstretched wings astride an olive branch.  The eagle holds a ribbon in its mouth molded with the words “Grolin’s Superfine Bordeaux Olive Oil”.

This seal was recovered from the excavation of a privy at a domestic residence established in the late 18th century.  This privy appeared to have been filled around 1830 with a large amount of debris from an earlier household.
