Dimensions:  44 mm diameter

Description:  This figure appears to be a military standard bearer similar to the one shown on right in a set of modern replica soldiers. The earliest ”flat” toys were soldiers  made in Germany of pressed tin from the 1730s onward.  One of the most prolific firms was that of Ernst Heinrichsen, who began business in 1839 (O’Neill 1988:244).
