Materials: Continental European hard paste porcelain and paint.

Dimensions: 3.75cm x 1cm.

Description: Porcelain leg, brown enamel boot and a blue bow.

History: Most inexpensive porcelain doll parts found in America were manufactured in Germany.
It was not until the mid-nineteenth century that porcelain became inexpensive enough to be used for large-scale doll production (King 1981:287). The boot or heeled shoe generally dates to the late 19th or early 20th centuries (King 1981:298).
