Hunt pitcher reads: “E. & W. Bennett, Baltimore, MD”.  This firm was in business between 1850 and 1857.   The dark glaze pooling in the mark makes it almost impossible to read.

This vessel, ca. 1810-1830,is a representative example of the English pottery produced at Swinton beginning in the late eighteenth century and that came to be known as Rockingham.
