County: Prince Georges
Site Name: Area G
Brief Description: Early & Late Archaic and Early, Middle, & Late Woodland lithic resource procurement & processing site

Site Notes: No cultural features. This Early Archaic and Late Archaic to Late Woodland period site consists of a lithic procurement station and reduction worksite containing a variety of debitage, bifaces, a core, and finished tools reflecting lithic reduction and tool maintenance activities. The recovery of several Early to Late Woodland ceramic sherds and a small number of fire-cracked rock fragments attests to cooking activities, but the absence of hearths, burnt earth features, or carbon deposits precludes a definitive association of cooking within the site.
