Site Name: |
Ridgely Farm |
Brief Description: |
Multi-component prehistoric; 19th to 20th-century farmstead |
Site Type: |
Historic/Prehistoric |
Site Notes: |
Historic artifacts relate to a mid-18th to 20th-century known occupation. The house was not considered historically significant and was razed during the 1980s, although extant features remain including a modern fence posthole, garden posts and a concrete-lined well. The prehistoric component of the site was found to retain sufficient integrity to be eligible for the National Register. Although ony 1 prehistoric feature was identified, the main occupation of the site may have coincided with technological change and social & ethnic transformation in the region. |
