Site Summaries

Site summaries are provided in the “Small Finds” portion of the Diagnostic Artifacts in Maryland website to offer users additional comparative information. Many small finds are not yet diagnostic because large assemblages have not been compiled for thorough study and publication. In the absence of widely accepted date ranges for the artifacts, the small finds section of this website offers images and context information for every available example, as well as site summaries with a brief history of each site and the archaeology conducted there.
