Description:
Castor with cut ovals along the base, body and neck, as well as engraved floral and leaf decoration on the body. The finish is ground on the exterior of the lip, suggesting that it once had a perforated metal top and was used for sugar or pepper. The narrow lower body of this vessel indicates that it was part of a set that was stored in a metal stand.
