Brice Collection
Also known as the Norman Brice Collection, this collection consists of material collected by Norman Brice, an avocational archaeologist and collector who worked as a banker. Brice surface collected and conducted excavations from the 1950s to the 1980s on primarily pre-Contact sites in Anne Arundel, Dorchester, and Wicomico counties. In some instances Brice worked with archaeologist Donald Peck of the Maryland Geological Survey. The Brice collection housed at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab consists of 15 separate accessions, the largest of which is material from a pre-Contact site known as Waveland Farm (18AN17) in Anne Arundel County.
