Horpel Collection

The Horpel Collection was accessioned into the collections of the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab in 2004. The collection was the given to the lab by the Northwest Chapter of the Archeological Society of Maryland. It had been collected by Reynolds J. Horpel, an avocational archaeologist and high school teacher who dug up the stuff in the 1960s. The collection consists of material from ten archaeological sites, most located in Baltimore County, but from one site in Annapolis and one in Howard County.
