Houck Collection
James W. Houck was an avocational collector active from the 1930s to 1980s. His surface collected finds come from a number of unknown sites that are considered isolated finds, though their county of origin is known in most instances. Counties where he was known to collect include Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, and Washington counties. One notable recorded site where he collected includes Biggs Ford (18FR14), among others primarily in Frederick County. His collection was donated in 1996.
