Pettit Collection

Charles Pettit was an avocational archaeologist and collector active throughout Maryland in the 1970s. A majority of the artifacts collected by Pettit consist of pre-Contact lithics and ceramics. The Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab received 53 boxes of material from Pettit, which was donated to the state in 1996.
