Ten Mile House (18BA113)
Site History
The Ten Mile House is a late 18th century toll house built in 1781. The 3½ story stone building with basement was destroyed in 1967 by the construction of the Valley Farm Shopping Center.
Archaeological Investigations
Between 1965 and 1967, the Milford Mill High School Chapter of ASM, Inc. visited the site and collected artifacts from it. These artifacts included late 18th- to mid-19th-century ceramics and glass, as well as metal artifacts. There was no report written for this work.
