Folly's Quarter Log Cabin (18BA116)

Site History

The Folly's Quarter Log Cabin is the site of a late 18th century log cabin and farm at the west end of Deer Park Road southwest of Reistertown, Maryland. The site is on the side of a small hill above a spring adjacent to the Liberty Reservoir. Modern housing development surrounds site to west. Log cabin remains were still visible in 1970.

Archaeological Investigations

The site was excavated by the Milford Mill Historic Society Chapter and the Archeological Society of Maryland in 1970. Artifacts recovered included two gun barrels, musket balls, a lock, a projectile point, and an empontilled bottle base. There was no report prepared for this work.
