Site History
The T.D. Jones Field V site (18BA156) is an Archaic short-term camp or base camp located near the I-95 and Rt. 195 exchange in Landsdowne in Baltimore County, Maryland.
Archaeological Investigations
This site was initially identified in the late 19th century by Talbot D. Jones, an insurance underwriter who was also an active avocational archaeologist. Jones's collection and field notes were donated to Johns Hopkins University and were analyzed in 1980 by the Maryland Geological Survey Division of Archeology. A total of 23 artifacts is listed in Jones's collection from 18BA156, which is curated at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab. Artifacts collected by Jones included a mortar, an axe, and projectile points.
