Heise 141 (18BA376)

Site History

The Heise 141 site (18BA376) is a multi-component site consisting of a Late lithic scatter and an 18th-century artifact concentration. The site is located in Baltimore County, Maryland on the North Branch of the Patapsco River.

Archaeological Investigations

Non-systematic surface surveys of the site were conducted by avocational archaeologist David Heise in 1989 and 1991. There is no report on these findings. One lithic artifact, a rhyolite shallow side notched point, was donated to the Maryland Historical Trust by Heise and it is curated at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab. Historic artifacts included white salt glazed stoneware and bottle glass.
