Site History
The East Cook Point Site 2 (18DO337) is the site of a late 18th- or early 19th-century possible house site along the Choptank River east of Cambridge in Dorchester County, Maryland.
Archaeological Investigations
This site was discovered during a shoreline and field search along the Choptank River by archaeologist Darrin Lowery in the 1990s. The site consists of an area of brick and shell scattered throughout the field. Artifacts dating to the 19th century were noted within the field. Artifacts collected from the site include two green wine bottle glass fragments, 3 fragments of decorated creamware, one fragment of porcelain, one thimble, and 1 unknown fragment of copper.
