Lander III (18FR37)
Site History
The Lander III site (18FR37) is a Late Archaic short-term resource procurement located south of Lander near the Potomac River in Frederick County, Maryland.
Archaeological Investigations
Avocational archaeologist Spencer Geasey reported the site to the Maryland Geological Survey in 1970. He found purple rhyolite broad points, and cobbles smoothly battered on high areas (similar specimens at Everhart shelter, 18FR4). Geasey donated his collection to MHT in 1993.
