Site History

The ESN-062P site (18KE357) is a scatter of precontact and historic artifacts found along Durdin Creek in Kent County, Maryland.

Archaeological Investigations

A non-systematic surface search was conducted in 1990 by John Wilson and Richard Kanaski of the US Fish & Wildlife, Service Region 5 as part of a survey of two waterfowl impoundments. A small number of precontact and historic period artifacts were recovered, including a green glass bottle base inscribed “T. F. 1741”, a steatite pipe fragment and flaked chert.
