Uhler collected seven projectile points from the Middle and Late Archaic and Middle Woodland periods, with the majority (4) of the points dating to the Late Archaic period. Uhler reported the site to Tyler Bastian of the Maryland Geological Survey. In 1987, National Park Service employee John Pousson, conducted an overview and assessment of the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center.
