Robbins Farm Site (7K-F-12)

Site History

The Robbins Farm Site (7K-F-12) is a precontact period archaeological site along the Murderkill drainage in Kent County, Delaware. The site has been characterized as a micro-band base camp associated with hunting and gathering along the Murderkill River. This site is located upstream from a macro-band base camp.

Archaeological Investigations

The site was discovered during an archaeological survey for the proposed Dover bypass. Charcoal samples from Feature 1 at the site provided a radiocarbon date of A.D. 1200. Potomac Creek and Keyser Farm ceramics were found in Feature 1.
